PDFL round-up: Eaton fires four as super Sutton smash nine, Keeble nets top treble

Matt Eaton helped himself to four goals on Saturday as Long Sutton Athletic romped to a 9-0 win over hosts Oakham United in the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division.

The striker was on red-hot form as the Magpies registered the biggest win of the day in the top tier, sending them up to fifth in the table in the process.

Brendan Burton, Sam Cooper, Sam Lilley, Callum Madigan and Chris Ward rounded off the rout for Sutton, who now have two wins from three games.

They are one place and one point behind Holbeach United Reserves, who secured an impressed 3-2 win at ICA Sports.

Jordan Keeble was the hero for the Tigers with an impressive hat-trick as they sank one of the title hopefuls, for who Stewart Lambie netted twice.

However, after two wins from as many games, fast-starting Crowland Town suffered their first loss of the season.

They went down 1-0 at early leaders Stilton United, with Lewis McManus the scorer.

In Division One, Moulton Harrox Reserves dropped their first points of the season but still picked up a 1-1 draw against Stamford Belvedere.

Edgaras Buzas bagged for the title hopefuls at Harrox Field.

Pinchbeck United Reserves slipped up for the first time, losing 3-1 at Oundle Town.

Evander Jose got the goal for Tim Coomes’ Knights.

There was better news for Crowland Town Reserves, however, as they saw off Rippingale and Folkingham 4-2 at Snowden Field.

Jordan Kirchin (2), Jamie Beeken and Nathan Woodward were the home scorers.

At the foot, Tydd suffered a third loss on the trot after going down 4-1 at Eunice Huntingdon.

Bradley Easey netted the away consolation.

Down in Division Two, Holbeach United Sports suffered a 1-0 home reverse against rivals Deeping Rangers Reserves.

Also beaten were Long Sutton Athletic Reserves, who slipped up 3-1 at home against Farcet United despite Jake Lally’s goal.

Elsewhere, Tydd Reserves went down 4-3 at home against Huntingdon Rovers despite leading 2-0 at half time.

Kai Scott-Henson, Luke Want and Jamie Steward got their goals in the Division Three clash.

In Division Four, Long Sutton Athletic A suffered a 3-0 beating at Sawtry as they lost their unbeaten record.

Down in Division Five, Sutton Bridge United drew 2-2 at Langtoft United to stay unbeaten.

Joseph Sutton and Matthew Wayman found the net for fourth-placed Bridge.

In the same division, Holbeach Bank picked up a 2-2 draw at Kings Cliffe A.
