The first social match of the 2019 season between Spalding Golf Club’s ladies and seniors was a Florida Scramble.
The senior team of John Sharrocks, Jackie Bailey-Scott, Elaine Harrison and Rick Edwards took the win.
- Spalding’s seniors lost their first friendly match of the season 5.5-2.5 at Sutton Bridge.
Albert Jacobs and John Keaton were the star performers on the day, winning 7&6.

Margaret Fox, Glen Woolard, Adam Oakes and Alfie Motley enjoyed a victory in Sutton Bridge Golf Club’s Sunday Texas Scramble.
- Sutton Bridge’s mixed team picked up a 4.5-1.5 success over Spalding GC’s mixed team.
Results: Peter Baker and Nicky Elphick won 4&2, Glen and Jane Woolard lost 1 down, Mike and Brenda Bell halved, Norman and Ann Davis won 2&1, John and Roz Clarke won 4&2 and Roy and Margaret Fox won 2up.
Tydd St Giles Golf Club
Christine Burton was the winner of Tydd St Giles Golf Club’s Easter Bonnets Stableford competition last week.
She edged out Lin Walker and Maria Taylor-Vassall in second and third places respectively and took the top title.
