All-conquering duo New Saracen’s Head C and Jolly Farmer A completed a Grays of Holbeach Spalding and District Darts League doubles on finals night.

Division One winners NSH C added the Supreme Cup to their coffers with a victory over league runners-up Lamb and Flag at the Spalding Services Club bash.

Second tier champions Jolly Farmer followed suit in the Secondary Cup as they trumped their chief title rivals Whaplode Drove in their final.

The other top team title up for grabs on the night was the Kelly Foster Cup. That went to Division One’s Horse and Groom B, who had just too much for divisional rivals Fisherman’s Arms.

There was plenty of individual silverware up for grabs, too. The most coveted – the Division One singles – went the way of Lamb and Flag’s Dave Piccaver, who beat Abbey Hotel’s Dave Norbury.

The Division Two gong went to Casey Horspool (Horse and Groom A). She edged out Kev Newton 2-1.

Fisherman’s Arms skipper Jason Vines lifted the Captains Cup trophy after handing Nick Horspool a 2-0 reverse.

Claire Ball (Lamb and Flag) bagged the Ladies’ Cup trophy in fine style, as she defeated Horspool 2-0.

There was no surprise on the doubles scene, with NSH C duo Mark Horspool and Duncan Hunt getting the better of Dan Carnell and Mark Woodrow (Lamb and Flag) 2-1 in the Division One pairs.

Consti’s Colin Beckett and Dick Morgan defeated Hank Watson (Jolly Farmer) 2-1 in the Division Two final, with Hunt and Shirley Povey (NSH) 2-0 winners of the Mixed Pairs final against Andy Beeken and Eileen Barnard.

To complete a successful night, a raffle draw on the night raised £100 for Prostate Cancer UK.
