Cuppa load of this cancer fight: Macmillan Coffee Morning round-up

Five-year-old Brogan Marshall is among those urging you to tuck into cake and coffee this week to raise money for a cancer supporting charity.

Brogan is one of the many hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning in memory of a loved one.

His Saturday event is in memory of his grandfather John Marshall.

First up though in raising money for Macmillan is regular host Lorna Webb who israising money for Macmillan today (Thursday, September 27).

Lorna will sell cakes and preserves, plants and vegetables, and raffle tickets at her home, 2 Poachers Gate in Pinchbeck, 10am-noon.

On Friday, September 28, Sutton St James Primary School is opening its doors for a coffee morning from 9am to 11.30am.

A whole day of coffee and cakes is taking place at the Nationwide branch in Holbeach during opening hours complete with the chance to win an afternoon tea hamper.

Bells Day Nursery in Gosberton is open from 9.30am to 11.30am for all to enjoy.

Anyone is welcome to call in for a cuppa at Ashwood Nursing and Care Home on Spalding Common between 10am and 4pm.

Craft stalls will accompany the cakes at Moulton Methodist Church from 9am to 12pm.

Steve Grimston will ‘brave the shave’ and have his hair cut at The Red Lion’s coffee morning in Spalding town centre. It’s running from 9am to 12pm.

Close by, a ‘Cuppa and cake’ event is taking place at Broad Street Methodist Church. That takes place from 10am to 12 noon.

Courtyard Footcare, Health and Beauty is having its coffee morning between 10am and noon.

Butter’s Factory Shop in Kellett Gate, Low Fulney is hosting its event from 10am to 3pm.

Over in Long Sutton, The Parkside Club is opening its door from 10am until 12 noon.

The team at Broadgate Homes are hosting a coffee morning at the St John’s Circus Sales Centre off Broad Gate from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

A spokesman said: “There will be fun, coffee, cake and ice cream to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.”

The events keep coming on Saturday, September 29 when Brogan puts on his aforementioned event at his Deeping St Nicholas.

Tea and cakes will be on offer from 26 Chappell Road.

Just across the district border in Boston, Bicker Village Hall is hosting an event from 10am until 1pm.
