Readers have sent in the images they have of VE Day 75 years ago.
Tidswell sent in the image of her mum Lorna Wright (nee Stacey) as the eight-year-old girl in a flowery dress at the top of the table in the celebrations from Alexandra Road and Ayscoughfee Avenue.
“She has very vivid memories of the day and party.” Frances said.
Robert Tear, of Tears Brothers Haulage of Sutton Bridge, sent in the picture above right taken on VE Day 1945, of children celebrating in one of the company’s vehicles.
