On Saturday 11th April between 1pm and 3pm, Holbeach Town Band will open its doors to the general public as they look to host their 1st Music Café. Anyone is welcome whether you’re 7 or 70, an accomplished player or brand new beginner, even if you fancy just popping along for a piece of cake and a brew. The Band have regular Open Days, but this will be the 1st Music Café that the band have run. Band Chairman, Yvonne Butter, comments “You meet so many great people in the brass band world and have a tremendous amount of fun along the way. Pop along on Saturday 11th April and see for yourself.” The Band members will be helped by their supporters who will be running the Café. The Music Café will start at 1pm at the W.I. Hall in Holbeach and you will have the chance to meet members of the Holbeach Town Band and the Holbeach Victoria Training Band and see them perform. Players will give demonstrations of their instruments throughout the afternoon and it wouldn’t be a music café without giving you the chance to grab a cuppa and a cake (or 2). We also provide our members with an instrument, so you may even end up taking one home with you!
