Tydd topple Oundle as Moulton and Crowland also progress in League Cup

Moulton Harrox, Crowland Town and Tydd all won on Saturday to progress to the next round of the ChromaSport Peterborough and District League Cup.

Tydd pulled off a shock as the Division One side knocked out Premier Division third placed side Oundle.
Kai Scott-Henson’s goal in the 64th minute was enough to send them through.

Harrox’s hopes of a cup double continued as they put seven past Stamford Lions.

Louis Steadman and Josh Ford both scored doubles while Gary Chappell and sub Luke Gardner netted in the resounding victory.

Crowland Town are through after a 3-2 win at FC Peterborough, Danny Firth at the double with Adam Samworth also scoring.

Their reserves though are out after losing 4-2 at home to Leverington Sports, while Pinchbeck United Reserves also lost 3-0 at home to Ramsey.

In the leagues, Long Sutton Reserves’ hopes of pulling away from the bottom two in ChromaSport Peterborough and District League Division Two took a hit as the third from bottom side lost to fourth from bottom Stamford Belvedere Reserves.

Sutton fell to a 2-1 defeat at Welland Academy.

In Division Five B, Holbeach Bank lost 3-1 at home to league leaders Park Farm Pumas Reserves.
Holbeach captain Josh Cross scored for his side but was then sent off for two yellow cards as the visitors won an ill-tempered game where the hosts also had Aiden Doherty and Brandon Orielly sin-binned.
