Top businesses set for awards

The finalists for the South Holland Business Awards 2018 have been revealed.

The crème de la crème of business in the district will be gathering at the Springfields Events Centre on November 15 for the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce’s big event.

The list of nominees has just been announced. Simon Beardsley, chief executive at the chamber, said: “The awards are now in their fifth year and the submissions we have received have gone from strength-to-strength.

“On behalf of myself and the chamber, we’d like to thank each and every business who took the time to apply and also all of our sponsors who have supported the awards.

“We look forward to celebrating with you all at the award ceremony.”

The nominees are:

Apprentice/Young Achiever of the Year Award: Nicky Andrew of Woodlands Hotel; Oliver Horne of National Centre for Food Manufacturing; Brandon Pontin of Boston College and Sophie Bowers of National Centre for Food Manufacturing.

Business Person of the Year Award: Pete Issitt of Crowland Cranes; Sue Lamb of Lambs Flowers; Andrew Ellis of Poplar Farm Flowers and Rodney Wilson of RK Wilson Builder.

Supporting the Community Award: Larkfleet Homes, Chattertons, Tonic Health,

Customer Care Award: Long Sutton Dentistry, Lincs Training – Dog Training Made Easy, Woodlands Hotel.

New/Small Business of the Year Award: Sergi’s Tapas Bar, Molsom and Associates.

Business of the Year Award: Sunflower Lodge Child Care, Maples Solicitors, Worldwide Fruit.
