Three injured, one seriously, following Gedney Drove explosion

Bomb disposal experts are in Gedney Drove End after an explosion this morning (Saturday) left three people injured, one of them seriously.

The incident occurred shortly before 11am this morning.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “At 10.53am we received a report of a small explosion in this area.

“Three men have been injured – one is thought to have a serious injury which is not thought to be life threatening. The other two are thought to have less serious injuries.

“Paramedics and the air ambulance attended the scene and the injured men have been taken to hospital. 

“The incident has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive who will investigate this.

“The EOD will be attending shortly to ensure the area is safe. Officers remain on scene at this time.“
