Summer fete fundraiser for all

A summer fete at a Spalding care home proved a popular attraction.

Residents, family and staff at St John’s Care Home, Hawthorn Bank, joined forces to enjoy a great day.

Entertainment was provided by Karen Clare who had everyone singing to old favourites.

You are My Sunshine was a popular tune and staff and residents combined voices to create St John’s Choir.

“We would like to thank everyone who came along on the day to support us.

“We had a fantastic time, our residents have loved seeing so many people here and the staff team have worked very hard to ensure we had a successful day,” said home manager Tracey Klue.

The fete raised more than £400 which will be donated to the Residents’ Comfort Fund which helps finance day trips and outings along with special events for residents at the home.
