Silverwood joins the Give A Gift Appeal

Long Sutton garden centre Silverwood has become a collection point for the Give A Gift Appeal.

The Spalding and South Holland Voice teamed up with We’ll Let Your House to launch the appeal and kicked it off with £200 of toys bought from The Spalding and South Holland Voice Community Fund.

Since then readers have been getting on board leaving gifts at the drop-off points across Spalding.

But we need more, so while you’re doing your Christmas shopping please consider buying an extra gift to donate to the appeal.

Support from local organisations, including Home Start, will ensure donations go to families that really need them.

We’ll be delighted if you decide to support the appeal but ask you please not to gift wrap your present – they need to be assessed to ensure families receive toys suitable for their child’s age and gender.

We are accepting gifts suitable for children from birth to age 13. Unfortunately we cannot accept secondhand toys, chocolate or make-up.

There are several collection points in Spalding where you can leave your donations:

Our offices, 14-16 Winsover Road

We’ll Let Your House, Broad Street Business Centre, 10 Broad Street lSainsbury’s, Holland Market

Beales Department Store, Market Place

South Holland District Council offices, Priory Road.

We are looking for collection points in Holbeach and Crowland. Please email letters@spaldingvoice.co.uk if you can help.

The appeal closes at 5pm on Thursday, December 17.
