Rain hits fixtures

In the Lincolnshire Premier Division, Spalding Town picked up 12 points at Grantham Town.
They were put in and reached 81 for 9 from 24 rain-affected overs.
In response, Grantham were 19 for 2 from 4.2 overs when the rain brought an end to proceedings.
Spalding 2nd XI romped to an impressive home win over Grantham 2nd XI taking just 37 overs to secure a nine wicket win.
Rob Seymour put Grantham in and they were skitttled for 61 in 22 overs.
From three overs each Richard Gallagher claimed 3 for 5 and Milley Hastings 3 for 8.
There was 2 for 9 from four for Billy Gallagher, 1 for 10 from Thomas De Camps while Shamel Fernando’s four overs went for just seven runs.
With the rain approaching, Spalding looked to score quickly through Jack Bowser who hit 30 before being out just before the end.
Jack Sawyer (18 not out) and Thomas Preston (5 not out) guided their side to an impressive win.
In Division Two, Spalding 3rd XI were beaten at home by Uffington after having no answer to the visitors’ 247 for 8 from just 35 overs.
In response, Town were all out for 74 in the 31st over.
