Owzat for helping veterans?

A very special cricket match is being held this weekend to raise money for two military charities.

The Long Sutton club will be hosting its second Veterans’ Day on Saturday (August 6), and members are hoping to build on the success of last year’s inaugural event.

It’s being sponsored by Tonic Health Veterans’ Project in association with the Veterans’ Foundation, and project coordinator Rob Simpson will be playing for the team.

They will face a Long Sutton Select and raise money for Combat Stress and Help For Heroes. A juniors game starts at 10am and the veterans at noon.
