Narrow Greetham glory for Liam on Tydd St Giles Golf Club’s away day

Liam Chapman was the overall winner as Tydd St Giles Golf Club players enjoyed their Captain’s Away Day event at Greetham Valley.

Chapman’s score of 39 Stableford points was enough to edge out skipper Vince Day into second on countback.

James Hale-Smith (38 points) was one shot further back in third.

Results: 1st Liam Chapman 39pts (ocb); 2nd Vince Day 39pts; 3rd James Hale-Smith 38pts.

Other prizes: Nearest to the pin (3rd hole) – Duncan Connabeer. Nearest to the pin (18th hole) – Dave Salmon. Longest drive – Mick Vassall. Best front nine – Vince Day (23pts). Best back nine – Pete Wheeler (21pts).
