I recently purchased some boots from a charity shop and was told I was not allowed to try them on because of COVID-19 restrictions.
When I tried them on at home, they were far too small so I had to return them to the charity shop.
I was amazed when I was told I could not have a refund as they were not faulty.
I told the member of staff this should have been made clear to me on my purchase.
All I was offered was a credit for the shop. I would not have purchased them had I known this. So when purchasing footwear or possibly clothing, it’s wise to check their returns policy.
