LETTER: I found letter very amusing

In response to Mr Turp: I’m sure I am only one of at least 17 million people that would have found Mr Turp’s letter of last week highly amusing for his overriding bitterness at the referendum result.

It started off calmly enough before descending into a hysterical, bigoted rant using terms such as “extreme radical right wing”, “little Englander mentality” and “local prejudice and tribalism” before finally labelling us all who voted out as zealots.

Mr Turp, I’m sure you must realise if it wasn’t for the Remain’s lies and scare tactics, it’s unlikely that these deluded fools would have polled more than a handful of votes nationwide!

On another point, Nigel Farage has proved to be a highly articulate man with strong principles and his speech at the European Parliament was a wonderfully hilarious take on what he’d achieved for our country. Arise, Sir Nigel!

Also Mr Turp, UKIP was Britain’s third largest party at the last general election and after the referendum it’s obvious that its appeal has multiplied still further.

Small-minded people like Mr Turp should recognise that the majority have spoken and that we live in a democracy. So, to coin a phrase “suck it up”, Mr Turp.

On a positive note, every village should have one idiot, and it’s nice to know Pinchbeck have found theirs. His whole letter was silly, but to see it deteriorate to a rant like that in print is always funny, so thank you Spalding Voice for printing it.
