Kindness team thanks businesses

A councillor has thanked local companies who supported the Spalding and Pinchbeck COVID Kindness Team.

The group which provided help and vital equipment in the area during the COVID-19 lockdown were helped by a host of donations from local companies.

They included Dalehead Foods.

Coun Rob Gibson was one of the volunteers and on the committee of the team. He said: “During the final couple of months of care packages the Spalding COVID Kindness Team were delighted to be supported by Dalehead Foods, part of Tulip Ltd.

“The kindness team were delivering over 60 care packages a week, having local suppliers support us was fantastic.

“As a local councillor I felt it was important for me to assist those in need through this tough time. I was delighted when Sandra Wallace contacted me on behalf of Dalehead foods offering assistance.

“The Spalding COVID Kindness Team was supported by a plethora of local companies, including Dalehead Foods, Chris Eley Foods, Harkenn Recycling and Flamingo Plants. Thank you to all the companies that supported us through the last four months.”
