Impressive podium treble for Kime race ace Fisher at Anglesey

Kime Racing rider Tom Fisher bagged three podiums as he travelled to Wales for round five of the No Limits Pirelli Super Series 600 Championship.

Fisher took two second places and a third in his races at Anglesey over the weekend, meaning he stays second in the rider standings.

Guest rider Tom Booth-Amos, who was using the track time as a test ahead of his appearance in the World Supersport championship round at Donington Park this coming weekend, understandably won all three races by a huge margin.

But he did not qualify for championship points and the regular riders fought it out for the points over the three races.

After qualifying as the fastest regular rider, Fisher started the first race from the middle of the front row and as the lights went out he slotted into second place behind Tommy Fielding.

He was overtaken by Finley Arscott on lap three and continued to challenge Fielding for second place.

Fisher finally passed his rival and mounted a challenge on Arscott, who he did pass on lap 12 of 14.

But, on the drag to the flag, Arscott regained his position and Fisher brought the Kime Racing Yamaha home in second place to claim 20 championship points.

On Sunday, in the first of two further races, Fisher again got a front row start and held the lead through the majority of the 14 laps – but he just missed out on the win when Arscott snatched the lead on the final lap to take maximum points again.

In the final race Fisher didn’t get the best of starts and circulated in third place throughout the 15 laps to take his third podium finish behind Arscott and Fielding.

He took a further 16 championship points to bring his total to 56 over the weekend and his total haul to date to 253.

He retains his second place overall but is now 25 points away from Arscott who holds the series lead on 278 points.

The next round is at Brands Hatch on the short Indy circuit over the weekend of July 30/31 when Fisher will be seeking to edge nearer to the series lead.

Kime Racing is based at Wrangle near Boston, headquarters of transport company George H Kime and Company who have branches throughout the country.
