Good Neighbours scheme is up and running

The Good Neighbours scheme is officially up and running in Quadring and Gosberton.

Volunteers are ready to help those in the villages that need it most.

The first call for help came last week when someone needed a lift to the hospital.

Jane Brigginshaw had seen the initiative in action elsewhere and decided to set it up for the villagers of Gosberton and Quadring.

She said: “If people register for help and give us a call then we can help where we can.

“We’ve 10 volunteers ready and another six in training. We’re slowly building it up including the support and the funding.”

The Good Neighbours were given a boost this week when Allison Homes, part of the Larkfleet group of companies, provided them with a grant for £250.
