Lynn Exley and Cherry Harpham were the winners of Tydd St Giles Golf Club’s Marshland Trophy pairs competition.
Their score of 29 points was enough to push Maria Taylor-Vassall and Christine Burton in second on 27 points. Liz Miller and Christine Young (22 points) were a little way back in third.

Spalding Golf Club
Andrew Rafferty and Sean Stewart were the divisional winners at Spalding Golf Club’s October Medal event.
Some 124 players contested the competition at the Surfleet course, which completed the medal series for the 2019 playing season.
Rafferty (14 handicap) topped the Division One standings on 72, with Phil Tweddell (6) heading a list of five players on 73. Luke Chilvers (11) was third on countback, with Jeremy Philo (8), Roger Climo (12) and Ryan Lawson (9) the others on 73.
In Division Two, Stewart (16) was the clear winner on 69, with Frank Martino (23) second on 71.
Andy Cunningham (15) completed the top three on 72.
Club Trophy: 1st Louie Gooderson (16) 69+75=144 (LEVEL); 2nd Spencer Gooderson (5) 71+74=145 (+1); 3rd Wayne Wallace (4) 73+78=151 (+7).

Some of Sutton Bridge Golf Club’s ladies’ section collected their trophies at the recent AGM.
Among them were Janet Groves, Nicola Elphick, Diane Wareham, Margaret Fox, Ann Davis and Sarah Sheldrick.
