There is literally a mower for everyone from a quality yet budget-conscious electric mower for £99 all the way up to the most complex of garden machines for £8,000.
The centre has been based at Weston’s Baytree Garden Centre for the past 20 years but has recently come under new ownership.
The business was set up in early 2015 by Gary Slator to replace the Baytree Mower Centre.
Gary has spent most of his career in the garden machinery industry having initially been an apprentice with Peter Todd at Holbeach and then going on to run Holbeach Garden Machinery where he achieved Briggs & Stratton Master Service Technician status. He was only the second person in Lincolnshire to achieve this award at the time.
Following an offer from Baytree, Gary moved to their lawnmower centre for a period during the mid to late 2000s before leaving to work at a local generator manufacturer in a technical capacity.
He is now back in the industry he knows best and is happy to boast that with over 25 years’ experience in garden machinery there is little that they cannot repair or source.
The company offers the largest selection of lawnmowers in South Holland combined with an in depth knowledge of the products, which allows them to assist customers in finding the correct machine.
Although the mower centre has existed as part of Baytree Garden Centre for 20 years there has never been a better time to visit.
Under the new ownership the range and number of machines has exponentially grown.
All machinery comes with warranties and spares support from the Lawnmower Centre.
Gary’s business partner Jonathan Palgrave said: “This, coupled with the return of Gary and his technical team, has ensured there is nothing we cannot fix and service to the very highest of standards.”
The Mower Centre has many exclusive brands that can’t be found anywhere else locally.
They are the largest main dealer in the area for Cub Cadet, Lawnflite, Alko, Weibang, Mitox, Cobra, Hayter, Allett, Ego, Stihl, Bosch and MTD to name a few.
There is a large showroom with over 150 machines in stock and on display at any time meaning customers can actually view and use the machines without having to purchase from a catalogue or online.
Mr Palgrave added: “This, along with a sales approach focussed on ensuring that the customer gets the machine best for them, and coupled with full service and support of everything we sell gives our customers assurance in their purchase.”
