Developer to begin work

A contractor is set to start work on a development of more than 50 affordable homes in Crowland.
Longhurst Group, which owns and manages more than 23,000 homes across the Midlands, is delivering the 55-home development in Crease Drove after planning permission was granted earlier this year.
The homes, which will be a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom properties, will be built by GEDA Construction and will be available for Shared Ownership, Rent to Buy and affordable rent.
Marcus Keys, Longhurst Group’s executive director of growth and development, said: “We’re aware of the need for more affordable housing for rent and home ownership across South Holland district and are delighted to be able to bring these much needed homes to fruition.
“The 100 percent affordable development will start construction this year and I’m looking forward to seeing the site progress as we deliver much needed new housing to Crowland and the surrounding area.”
