Coffee, cake and charity at Macmillan’s Biggest Coffee Morning 2017

The only thing finer than coffee and cake is coffee and cake for a good cause.

So choose your venue for the Macmillan Big Coffee Morning on Friday, September 29.

Across the district, cafes, libraries and community hubs are hosting coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Research.

Pick your place and turn up for good food, a cup of tea or coffee and good company.

Starting early, on Tuesday 26 September Mrs Lorna Webb hosts at 2 Poachers Gate, Pinchbeck, from 10am till noon. Luxury handmade crackers will be on sale, as well as plants, vegetables, cakes, preserves, quiche, coffee and scones. There will also be a raffle, with all proceeds going to Macmillan.

Friday, September 29.

Moulton Seas End Village Hall will host a coffee morning between 10am and noon, with refreshments, stalls, a raffle and tombola.

Long Sutton Library is hosting their coffee morning from 10am.

In Spalding, St Thomas’s Road Methodist Church will host a coffee morning from 10am to noon.

The Spalding Library coffee morning will run from 10.30am to noon.

St Norbert’s Church Hall, St Thomas’s Road in Spalding will have their coffee morning from 10.30am until noon.

Broadgate Homes host a coffee morning at the sales centre and showroom at St John’s Circus, Spalding. The event from 10.30am to 12.30pm and they will be hosting competitions.

In Fleet Hargate, Capricorn Cottage is hosting a coffee morning from 10am until noon. The autumn tabletop fete will also be in full swing.

The Pinchbeck Community Hub and Library will take part in the coffee morning, with food and drink served from 10am untll 12.30pm.

In Holbeach, Caffè Aurora has pledged once again to donate 100 per cent of all cake and bake sales directly to Macmillan Cancer Support during the coffee morning. To raise more money for the cause, Caffè Aurora has enlisted local singing celebrity Jeff Woods to perform as his operatic alter-ego, Pavanotti. He will take to the streets outside Caffè Aurora to serenade customers and the passing public – hoping to encourage even more donations into the Macmillan collection bucket.
The event takes place from 8am till 12.30pm.
