BACK ON TRACK: Aaron Clarke.

Clarke’s ready to make racing return

Kirton’s Aaron Clarke is expected to return to action at Snetterton this the weekend.

Clarke was forced to sit out the last championship race at Knockhill, but his return will see the draperRACING team getting back to full strength.

Following his high speed bike crash at Donington in practice for his last race, Clarke’s Yamaha was all but destroyed.

A lengthy delay in delivery of the new parts meant the bike was not ready in time for the Knockhill race.

The 21-year-old scored points in last year’s race at Snetterton and, after missing the Knockhill round, will be determined to finish well inside the points on Sunday.

The weekend begins for the Superstock 600 with a free practice session at 9am on Friday followed by a second at 1.25pm.
The solitary qualifying session takes place on Saturday at 12.15pm and this will set the grid for Sunday’s race.

There will be a short warm up on Sunday at 9.10am which then gives the riders a final chance to check all is well with man and machine ahead of the 12-lap race at 11.20am.

The two Wyberton-based G&S Racing Kawasaki riders Tom Fisher and Sammy Coventry head to Norfolk at the weekend for the next round of the Superstock 1000 championship which is set to take place at the 2.9 mile Snetterton circuit.

In the last round at Knockhill, Coventry was unfortunate to crash out of a points scoring position and will be eager to make up for this at Snetterton where last year he had two strong races in the Supersport class.

Fisher also had a good race last year at the super fast Norfolk circuit finishing his race in 11th place. He will be hoping to emulate that result to get some points under his belt this time around.

The Superstock 1000 campaign begins on Friday with two free practice sessions at 11.50am and 3.20pm.

The solitary qualifying session takes place on Saturday at 12.50pm and there is a short warm up on Sunday at 9.52am when the riders can have a final chance to check all is well before the start of the 16-lap race that is set to commence at 12.40pm.
