Choir performs with Blake

It’s never a bad thing to get out of your comfort zone, but when A Handful of Harmonies was invited to perform with Blake they were quite daunted when the song list was received.

It was the choir’s first venture into light classical music and opera, but according to music director, Andrew Clingo, they excelled themselves yet again.

Twenty-one members of the choir from Spalding, the Deepings, Bourne and Langtoft joined Blake on stage at Spalding’s South Holland Centre.

The theatre was a sellout for a superb evening of comedy, laughter and song.

Andrew said: “Blake were easy going and put us all at ease, but remained the consummate pros.

“This marks another landmark in our five year career.”
