There are plenty of workshops going on over the summer holidays, so you’re bound to find something to keep the kids entertained.

Spalding’s South Holland Centre is hosting a variety of workshops including Rock School and Fantastic Mr Fox.

Rock School takes place on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, August 4,5 and 7 from 10am to 4pm daily.

It’s suitable for 12 to 18-year-olds and aspiring musicians can sing, play guitar, drums or any other instrument of their own in a band setting with guidance from soundLINCS professionals.

Equipment is provided, but you can take your own instruments if you have them.

There will be a performance for family and friends at the end of Thursday’s session.

The workshop costs £60 for three days and can be booked through the box office on 01775 764777.

From Monday, August 11 to Friday, August 15, Act II Theatre Company will run a youth theatre week for seven to 13-year-olds focussing on Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox.

It’s an action-packed week of drama and games, culminating in a performance to family and friends.

The workshop costs £65.

There’s some family drumming sessions at Stamford Arts Centre on Monday.

Monkey Bongos runs from 3pm to 5pm and from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Go along and celebrate your rhythmical spirit, making in the moment music with hand drums and fun vocal chants.

This facilitated drum circle is an easy and accessible way to have creative expression, relax and be inspired and work for the musical unity of the group. It’s suitable for all levels. Drums and percussion are supplied or take your own along.

The workshop is suitable for ages six to 106 and costs £5 per person.
