Long-serving workshop technician Julian Lunn has recently qualified under the prestigious Volkswagen Training Scheme as a Master Technician.

He joins fellow qualified colleague Aubrey Foreman with the accreditation, which he earned after taking part in in-depth training programmes provided by Volkswagen Group UK.

Crowsons, based in Wardentree Lane, is a family run Volkswagen retailer, offering new and approved used vehicles.

The company has been in the town since it was established in 1953 at Little London Service Station, now the BP service station.

The team has recently been strengthened by the appointment of Cryss Stoffel and Lara Elwes.

Cryss has many years of experience as a workshop technician at other south Lincolnshire retailers.

Lara is Paul Crowson’s youngest daughter and rejoins the family business after a few years away working with the East of England Showground and the Simply magazine brand in Spalding.

She will be based in accounts temporarily and then focus on staff training and quality management.

The team has also welcomed Steve Barnes to the parts department from EMG Motor Group in Spalding, and Ian Mears, who has joined as a sales executive after running and serving as the local Ford retailer in Bourne for many years. He will work alongside sales director Ian Crowson and colleagues Barry Morgan and Les Spicer.

Aftersales director Mark Crowson said: “With our latest addition of Volkswagen Van Service Spalding to the business, we were in need of another technician to focus on servicing, repairs and warranty work”.

“The same expansion in our parts department meant we were on the lookout for an experienced parts advisor to serve retail customers and accident repair centre’s throughout south Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.

“Steve Barnes has brought his knowledge and attention to customer service to our busy aftersales department.”
