Awards for care staff

Staff at Spalding care homes have been recognised for their work during 2021.

Country Court held awards at each of its three homes in the town.

At Ashwood Care and Nursing Home care assistant Matthew Evans won the Care Hero Award, care assistant Jill Green won the Our Values Award and Team Member of the Year was RGN Nurse Anne Adam. Nominating Matt for an award one family member commented: “Matt is always cheery, friendly and concerned about the residents and the family members. He always has a friendly face and an approachable attitude to relatives.”

At Beech Lodge Care and Nursing Home the Care Hero Award went to care assistant Klaudio Bushaj.
Wellbeing Coordinator Jodie Clayton won the Our Values Award and Team Member of the Year was nurse Maricris Vallido.

Jodie’s nomination said: “She shows such love, warmth, care and creativity to help the residents.”

At Fenchurch House care assistant Alex George picked up the Care Hero Award while wellbeing coordinator Fawzia Giga won the Our Values Award and Team Member of the Year was Deputy Manager Ganiyu Lawal.

The nomination for Fawzia stated: “Fawzia is always putting the residents needs first. Week in week out Fawzia puts on a range of activities for all the residents to join in with.”

The awards were presented by Country Court co-CEO Al-Karim Kachra and chairman Abdul Kachra after over 1,000 nominations were submitted.
