Amazing 88 break by cue ace Gray

An 88 break from cue ace Mark Gray (O105) wasn’t enough to secure a win for his team in Division One of the Spalding and District Snooker League.

Bourne SC A went down 4-2 away to Bourne Pyramid D in a rearranged game.
Gray got the team off to a good start with a 114-86 victory over Marcus Hamilton (O28), followed by a 60-32 win from Pete Hodgson-Kerry (O28) over Pete Grose (scr).
It went downhill after that though, with Ian Gibson (R7) and Oliver Player (O28) both losing to equal the scoreline.
Josh Agger (O7) got the better of Ian Clare (O7) in the deciding frame, beating him 54-9 and taking the match.
The following night they beat Holbeach D 4-2, leaving them three points clear at the top of the table.
Boundary A moved up to second place with a 4-2 win over Pyramid A, while Bourne SC C dropped to third after a 4-2 loss to Donington C.
Ben Wrigglesworth (O28), and Matt Turner (O21) (playing twice) got the frames for Donington.
Services C remain in fourth despite a 4-2 loss away to Bourne SC B.
Joey Scampion (R7), Elliot Gaunt (O28) and Kieran Richards-Witham (O21) were the winners for Bourne.
Holbeach C beat bottom-of-the-league Pyramid D 4-2.
Mark Gregory (O42) beat Josh Agger (O7) in the decider to clinch the match.
Consti G are still 11 points clear at the top of Division Two, despite not having a game this week.
Holbeach B moved into second place thanks to a 5-1 win away at Services B.
Barry Haynes (O7), Pete Mullane (R14), Wayne Forbletts (O21) and Neil Harvey (O14) got the points for Holbeach.
Consti B fell to second despite a 4-2 win over Donington A.
John Christian (R7), Mick Johnson (O28) and Steve Spencer (R21) were the winners for Consti.
Consti H jumped up to sixth with a 5-1 win over clubmates Consti I.
Mark German (O28) was the only loser for the H team, being beaten by Pete Stokes (R7).
Lester Gaunt (O56) helped Pyramid B to a 4-2 win over Services D with breaks of 46 and 36 in his victory over Mark Howlett (O7).
Other winners were Richard Clark (O7) and Roy Jackson (R14) for Pyramid and Adrian Liquorish (R14) and Jake Haslam (O7) for Services.
There’s nothing in it at the top of Division Three, with just one point separating the top two teams.
Whittlesey C are in first place, with 80 points, closely followed by Gosberton D on 79.
Whittlesey got the better of Consti D 5-1 on Thursday night, while Gosberton beat Pyramid E 4-2.
Third-placed Donington B lost some ground, going down 5-1 away at Whittlesey A.
Pete Burrell (scr) got Donington off to a good start beating Andy Gebbie (R21) but it went downhill for them after that, with Phil Burrell (R7), Gav Lewis (O7), Paul Stewart (scr) and Mick Clark (R7) all losing.
Consti J leapfrogged Boundary B, who were without a match, moving up to fourth place.
They beat Gosberton C 5-1 thanks to frame wins for Les Andrews (scr), Pete Orange (R21), Justyn Stanley (scr) and Stu Davies (O14).
Consti C got the better of Donington D, beating them 4-2 and moving two places up the table.
Consti’s Mick Peet (R28) narrowly missed out on the win to Geoff Harris (R28) who won on the black ball.
Ken Staples (R21) took the next frame for Donington before John Walker (R21), Kevin Sweeney (R7) and Mark Craig (R21) got the next three frames for Consti.
