A heart-warming gesture

Spalding Academy have made a heart-warming gesture to help young people who may be the same age as themselves.

Following a collection at the school they’ve donated two bags full of clothes for the Coats for Kids initiative.

The charity has been set up to help provide coats to young people who might otherwise not be able to afford one this winter after a number of children in Lincolnshire were found not to be wearing one to school.

A spokesman for the school said of the donations of coats: “We hope that these can be passed on to young people that require a coat.

“Spalding Academy have also donated coats to students that we are aware were in need of a winter coat and are happy to support such a worthwhile initiative.”
