Woolard’s the winner of Spalding Golf Club’s Coronation crown contest

Jane Woolard was winner of Spalding Golf Club’s Ladies’ Coronation Cup.

Woolard returned a Stableford score of 36 points to pip Jenny Van Gemeren on countback.

Jacquie Clare took third place with 35 points in an event which attracted 29 lady players.

Theresa Starbuck and Debra Ward triumphed on countback with +2 to claim the Ladies’ Groom Cup which saw 18 pairs enter the foursomes bogey competition.

Angela Roper and Eden Inglis were second with Tilly Garfoot and Lisa Howling taking third after posting a score of +1.

Sue Watson headed a 31-strong player field to win the Ladies’ September Medal with a net 72.

Jenny Van Gemeren (74) and Jackie Bailey-Scott (75) were second and third respectively.

A team of ladies shared the spoils after drawing their friendly match away at Kirton Holme.

Paula Brown and Hannah Thorold were triumphant along with Di West and Beryl Skinner.

Sue Dewar and Jenny Wilson lost their match while Debra Ward, playing on her own due to a mix up, was beaten on the 17th hole.
