Sunday song at Spalding choir open day ahead of next year’s big gigs

Spalding Parish Church Choir holds its annual Open Evening at 6.30pm on Sunday (September 9).

During the free concert, the choir will perform well-known music, and the evening will conclude with refreshments and a raffle for choir funds.

This year, the group of 20 boys and 18 men sang Evensong at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, and next year, the choir travels to London twice to sing at St Paul’s Cathedral in May and Westminster Abbey in August.

As well as its regular Sunday performances (11am and 6.30pm) at Spalding Parish Church, it also offers after school Choir Club for boys aged seven and above on Wednesdays at St Nicholas Hall, The Vista in Spalding.

As well as singing, a range of sports and activities are on offer.

Choir Club and Choir Outings are all free.
