Springfields Adventure Land to open with a weekend of family fun

The long-awaited new funpark at Springfields Outlet will open at the end of June.

On Saturday, June 30, Springfields Outlet will open its highly anticipated new leisure destination, Adventure Land.

To celebrate, there will be a full programme of family-friendly activities and entertainment across the whole weekend.

At 11am on Saturday, Coronation Street actress Samia Longchambon, aka Samia Ghadie (Maria in Corrie), will cut the ribbon, officially opening Springfields Adventure Land.

On Sunday, July 1, the family entertainment continues with Samba dancers, a steel drumming band, jugglers, stilt walkers,  face painting and glitter art.

Visitors will also be able to meet the brand-new Springfields Adventure Land themed characters, including a JCB transformer, Dino and Goldie from the mini-golf and gold panning attractions.

After exploring the new leisure facilities, hungry visitors can head to Springy’s Diner for a chance to taste the brand new American-style menu of delicious burgers, milkshakes and gelato ice cream.

Entry to the park is free for children under two-years-old, and £3 per person (£10 / group of four), which includes entry to Springy’s Beach and the Tree Top Village.

All-inclusive tickets are available for £7.95 per person (April to September) or £6.95 (October to March).

The new Springfields Adventure Land includes the UK’s largest JCB Young Drivers Zone (£6 per child on standard entry ticket) where children will be able to drive around in bright yellow diggers, enjoy the huge JCB slide and scaffold-themed climbing frame and let their imagination take over on a range of other unique interactive play attractions.

Families will be able to walk through the trees in the new Tree Top Village which includes eight wooden towers and a massive 12-square-metre net.

Plus, Springy’s Beach offers a sand play area and rock pool water stream all covered by a huge canopy, so children will be able to have fun whatever the weather.

 

Families can try their hand at nine-hole Dino Golf (£3 per person), with dinosaurs peering around every corner, then pan for gold at Goldie’s Gold Mine (£2/15-minute session).

Visitors can ride the miniature railway, aptly named Springy’s Railroad, through the woodland, or the take the over-ground Adventure Land Express train (£2 per person) through the scenic, award-winning Festival Gardens, visit springfieldsadventureland.co.uk to find out more information on the attractions, book tickets and view the menu for Springy’s Diner.

Other entertainment options include remote controlled boats (£1) and Springy’s Railroad (£2).

Springfields Adventure Land has created a new leisure destination designed to attract greater numbers of visitors from further afield, looking for an enjoyable and memorable day out. It has also created 65 new jobs and locals have been recruited to fill the new roles.

Adventure Land is open until 6pm every day. Entry starts at 9.30am, Monday to Friday; 9am Saturday and 10.30am Sunday.

Visiting families can also enjoy shopping at Springfields Outlet.

The line-up hosts over 50 outlet shops including well-known brands such as Radley, Fat Face, Next, Gap, M&S, TM Lewin and Skechers, with more names to be announced.

As well as the new leisure facilities, dining and outlet shopping, Springfields is set within 25 acres of eye-catching, award-winning landscaped gardens allowing visitors to relax and meander through colourful, floral surroundings.
