National vehicle rental chain is opening a depot in Spalding.

Enterprise Rent-a-car has taken on a site at the River Welland end of West Elloe Avenue and hopes to open on July 21.

South Holland District Council ward member Gary Taylor said: “I welcome Enterprise’s decision to expand their business to Spalding.
“This is also an opportunity to redevelop an area, which is a major gateway into Spalding, which has looked quite rundown over the past few years.

“I also hope they become a socially responsible business and take pride in their local environment and engage with the local community.”

Enterprise Rent-a-car has applied to the district council for permission to display an advertisement (signage) on site.
Currently its nearest depots are Boston and Peterborough.
