Rotarians have plenty of variety

An annual show aimed at giving the elderly a Saturday night out returned with aplomb recently.

The Rotary Club of the Spalding and the Welland’s Annual Variety Show saw 300 people enjoy a host of entertainment at the South Holland Centre on Tuesday, March 3.

Showbiz professionals Tracie Hughes and Jennifer Bentley, of Spellbound, MC’d the night which included acts such as magician John Milner, singer Jennifer Hughes, the Spalding Folk Club, pianist Rodney Britten and the Frampton Tappers dance group.

A spokesman for the Rotary Club said: “We’ve had many message of appreciation and thank the case for giving their time and talents. We intend to have a variety show next March.”
