Race night raises thousands

A hospice was the big winner as a race night raised over £3,000 for it last weekend.

Don and June Wright put on the special night at Spalding Golf Club for the Sue Ryder-ran Thorpe Hall hospice.

The all-ticket event hosted by Tom Mehew of Premier Race Night proved a huge success with an excellent crowd enjoying nine races.

Together with a bingo game, hamper competition and raffle those that attended helped raise £3,187 for the Peterborough hospice.
