Pinchbeck suffer heavy defeat on rain-hit day in South Lincs and Border Cricket League

Rain ravaged Saturday’s cricket schedule with almost all of the matches across the South Lincs and Border League’s three divisions abandoned.

That included Spalding Town’s Premier Division date with Bourne 2nd, which sees their seven-game winning streak come to a premature end.

Of the matches that did conclude, Pinchbeck suffered a whirlwind Division Two defeat against Claypole.

Chris Wharmby was the architect of Claypole’s victory, taking six Pinchbeck wickets for just seven runs to leave his side chasing just 48, a total they overtook for the loss of two wickets.
