PDFL round-up: Wilson hits treble in huge Harrox Reserves win, Crowland’s second string stun Ketton

Moulton Harrox Reserves enjoyed their best result of the season so far on a rain-hit Saturday that saw a host of games postponed.

ChromaSport PDFL Division One side Moulton romped to a 10-0 triumph over their Division Three hosts Wittering Harriers Reserves in the League Cup, with the in-form Ashley Wilson helping himself to a hat-trick.

Martin Sandall and Tom Panton also netted two goals apiece, while Marcus Cundy, Bede Finnigan and Matthew Rose rounded off the rout.

Also progressing in the League Cup were Crowland Town Reserves, who upset Premier Division side Ketton 4-2 at Snowden Field.

Alfie Anderson, Joe Strickland, Jeffrey William Ampong and Jordan Kirchin fired the Division Two hosts to a memorable victory.

Back in the league, Division One side Sutton Bridge United weren’t quite so lucky, as they were beaten 7-3 at home by Stamford Belvedere.

David Abbott, Joseph Sutton and Mitchell Bunn were on-target for a Bridge side that remain 15th.

Down in Division Four, Holbeach Bank were involved in an absolute classic as they went down 9-5 at Orton Rangers Reserves.

Joshua Grainger (2), Ashley She (2) and Jordan Philpott grabbed the goals for Bank, but they have now suffered nine defeats on the trot and sit bottom of the table.

Down in Division Five, Long Sutton Athletic managed a 3-2 home win over Cambridge FC.

Their second success of the season moves Sutton up to seventh in the standings with at least one game in hand on every side above.

Meanwhile, Sutton’s Reserves were also on winning form as they defeated hosts Tydd Reserves 4-2 in the first round of the Spalding Inter Services Trophy.
