PDFL round-up: Dan at double in Harrox win, Allen bags treble for Holbeach Reserves

Dan Woods helped himself to a double as Moulton Harrox thrashed hosts Leverington Sports 5-2 on Saturday.

Further goals from Ian Bradbury, Danny Lambe-Hyner and an OG eased Harrox to their tenth win from 11 matches in the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division this season.

The win leaves Nigel Steadman’s charges four points clear at the top and they remain unbeaten ahead of this Saturday’s home clash with Whittlesey Athletic (2pm).

Harrox: Wilding, Groves, Relf, Coddington, Patterson, Cawthorne, L Steadman, King, Woods, Townsend, Bradbury. Subs used: Lambe-Hyner, McGuire, Watkin. Not used: Mason.

  • Jonny Allen notched a hat-trick as Holbeach United Reserves battered hosts Langtoft United 5-0 elsewhere in the PDFL Premier Division.

Steve Barnes and Josh Lawrence also notched for Phil Barnes’ side.

The other top tier clash saw Sutton Bridge United draw 4-4 at Deeping Rangers Reserves.

Sam Cooper, Matt Eaton, Sam Stockdale and Kurt Scott got the goals.

In Division One, Crowland Town went down 8-2 at Peterborough Polonia.

Spalding Town walloped Langtoft Reserves 6-0 in Division Two thanks to goals from Jamie Cartlidge, Matt Rose, George Smith, Jack Chilvers, Tom Coote and Ash Wilson.

Spalding United Reserves, meanwhile, slumped to a 2-1 home reverse against Bretton North End.

Whaplode Drove got back to winning ways with a 4-0 triumph over Stamford Belevedere Reserves in Division Three.

But South Holland rivals Holbeach Bank were tonked 7-3 on their own patch by Oundle Reserves.

Sam Thompson (2) and George Leatherland scored for them.

Division Four served up home defeats for both Holbeach United A and Tydd St Mary Reserves. The Tigers lost 4-2 against Whittlesey Athletic B, while the Saints went down 2-1 to Stanground Sports A despite Matthew Clayden’s goal.

Also beaten were Long Sutton Athletic Reserves, who went down 3-2 at home against FC Peterborough Reserves. Scott Pemberton scored twice for the Magpies.
