PDFL round-up: Pinchbeck United complete league season with five-star win

Pinchbeck United rounded off their ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division season with a 5-2 victory over Langtoft United at Knight Street on Tuesday night.

The goals came from Conner Eyes, Tyler Wright,  Brad Murrell, Chris Shipley and returning top scorer Ollie Maltby – his 62nd of the season.

Maltby played wearing a protective mask and should now be fit to feature in both the President Premier Shield final against Netherton United on Friday and the PFA Senior Cup final against ICA Sports on Monday.

Ian Dunn’s side finish the season in second place and collected their runners-up medals before the match.

Behind them, Netherton United lost 3-1 at home to Stamford Lions – meaning that Moulton Harrox will finish third if they win at Leverington Sports on Saturday.

At Carter’s Park, goals from Dan Dougill (2) and Jonny Allen fired Holbeach United Reserves to a 3-2 derby win over Crowland Town, who finish bottom of the pile.

The Tigers complete their season at home to ICA Sports on Friday night.

In Division Two, Tydd St Mary lost 4-0 at home to champions Ramsey Town.
