New home for South Holland Concerts

South Holland Concerts are returning this Sunday, but at a new venue.

A string section from the London Mozart Players will be the first guests at the Broad Street Methodist Church, Spalding.

The newly-refurbished church is taking over the home of the South Holland Concerts after years at the South Holland Centre.

First up on Sunday at 3pm is the Mozart Players’ Ruth Rogers (violin), Judith Busbridge (viola) and Sebastian Comberti (cello) playing Beethoven’s trio in C minor op9 no3, Dohnanyi Serenade and Mozart Divertimento K563.

A spokesman for South Holland Concerts said: “The London Mozart Players are the longest-running chamber orchestra in the country with a high reputation for musicianship gained from live performances and very many recordings.

“We are delighted to welcome them back to Spalding.

“They will be playing three of the most loved string trios in the repertoire, ensuring this is an opportunity not to be missed.”

Tickets (£14) are available from Bookmark or on the door. Children and full-time students are free.
