Moulton’s biggest ever clean

Moulton’s annual Big Spring Clean was the biggest so far with the Wombles’ initiative being cited as an inspiration for its success.

Andrew Woolf, the vice chair of Moulton Parish Council, has organised it, and the Autumn Spring Clean, for the last three years.

Over 40 people of all ages gathered on Saturday in Moulton, Moulton Chapel and Moulton Seas End to collect litter in the villages while following COVID-19 guidance throughout.

Andrew Woolf.

“The turn out and the amount of litter we collected was really good, though it’s sad that we had to collect so much litter,” Mr Woolf said. “I can only offer special thanks to everyone who turned out. It was a beautifully sunny day that brought people and I certainly think a few have been inspired by the Wombles.

“We’ve never had that many before and I think people enjoyed it.”

Wendy Woolf.
