Long Sutton aiming to bounce back

Long Sutton showed an early statement of intent on the opening weekend of the South Lincs and Border League season following last year’s relegation.
Phil Barnes’ side lost their Premier Division place last season, but showed they’re aiming to bounce straight back in an eight-wicket demolition of Billingborough 2nd on Saturday.
Billingborough were bowled out for just 62 as Barry Stanway claimed 5-23 and Rajan Sangha returned 3-21 as only two home batsmen made double figures.
Long Sutton reached their victory target for the loss of just two wickets as Adam Wright (24) and Barnes (28no) steered them home inside 17 overs.
Spalding 2nd won the battle of the promoted sides in the Premier Division as they defeated Freiston by six wickets.
Josh Lawrence and Andrew Dockerill both claimed three wickets for Spalding as the hosts were bowled out for 149.
Chris Dring (37), Jon Manton (46) and Simon Juckes (45no) then saw Spalding to victory with more than 10 overs remaining.
