LETTERS – Thanks for councillors’ efforts

I would like to thank Couns Christine Lawton and Roger Gambba-Jones for the  quick work in getting the manhole cover replaced in Wygate.

For weeks we had to listen to the constant thud, getting louder and louder each day from the manhole cover on the main road as cars, lorries, etc, ran over it.

Residents were getting more agitated as the weeks went on. Once we complained about it, it didn’t take long to get workers out from Lincolnshire County Council putting a stop to the continuous noise we have had to endure, keeping us awake each time vehicles ran over it. So thank you at last for your quick work in getting this done. I thank the workmen who were great and very polite.

Also well done to you both for getting the amazing equipment installed in The Hayfields park – what a tremendous idea for every resident in that local community.

Having had a go on each piece of equipment I could tell this was going to be a great plus for everyone in that area.

It will be good to see this in other areas around South Holland, something for a diverse age range of people to enjoy during the day and in the summer evenings, on our doorstep.

Thank you to you both for your commitment in South Holland.
