It’s Murphy’s law on track at the Adrian Flux Arena as Stephen storms to win

Stephen Murphy led a string of strong performances from South Holland racers at the Adrian Flux Arena’s latest night of awesome action.

Holbeach’s Murphy managed to get himself on the winners’ podium at the King’s Lynn track, as his impressive start to the season continued.

Such is the desire for drivers to race at the Arena, they again came from all over the country and descended on the venue in droves.

Taylor Sowter (Horley) and Ben Mynott (St Neots) picked up the wins in the two main events for the bangers, which will see them seed in to major championships later in the year.

In the Junior Bangers, Alfie Tomlinson (Derby) took the meeting final, while North Walsham’s Ben Englestone was victorious in the 1300 Stock Cars.

Of the South Holland drivers, Murphy followed on the form from the first meeting and picked up a fourth place in the opening race before then going on to win his second event.

He turned in a great drive, which saw him beat some of the best drivers in the formula to take the chequered flag.

Spalding’s Ricky Ivatt had a consistent night’s racing with three top ten finishes – his best result coming in the meeting main event with a fifth place.

Ivatt had his work cut out though after dropping back down the order in the opening part of the race, but fought his way back and made good use of the bumper for a great finish.

Points champion Dan Booth, also from Spalding, was geared up for a better night after the opening meeting. And, while he came away with three credible top ten finishes, he would have been hoping for a spot on the podium.

In the Junior Bangers, Crowland’s Kacey Crane had a disappointing night, picking up damage which saw her sidelined and unable to compete.

Ben Kaleta (Holbeach) picked up a top ten in the opening race, but lost his luck later on – getting caught up in the action which meant that was his only result of the night.

The next meeting at the Adrian Flux Arena is on Saturday, March 30 (5.30pm) where the big, brutal and hard-hitting BriSCA F1 Stock Cars kick off their 2019 season.

The all-action Two-Litre Saloon Stock Cars and excellent Ministox will also be out on the track.
