Holbeach United joint-chief Chand eyes Tidswell move

John Chand wants to bring Andrew Tidswell back to Holbeach United.

The co-Tigers boss rates the striker as the best player he’s ever worked with in his managerial career – and admits that he’d love to sign him back from rivals Spalding United.

Tidswell is under contract with the Tulips, but Chand has told The Voice that he’d do what he could to seal any deal should his circumstances change.

“A few people have asked me if we’re trying to sign Andrew back,” said Chand. “The answer to that is no, he’s under contract with Spalding.

“If his situation changed, there would be no decision to make – I’d do everything to get him. He’s been the top UCL striker of the past few years and is the best player I’ve ever managed.”

Tidswell won the UCL Premier Division title with Chand’s Holbeach in 2013 and was the league’s leading scorer that season. He also won the UCL golden boot with Spalding the following year.
