FIVE-STAR START: Holbeach United have won all five of their UCL Premier Division games.

Table-topping Holbeach United visit promoted Oadby Town on Saturday (3pm) – which will see Danny Spencer, Courtney Meade, Lee Dube and Jake Duffy all return to their former club.

The Tigers have won all five of the UCL Premier Division games so far this season and top the table by two points from Yaxley.

Leicestershire-based Oadby, meanwhile, are without a win in their first five outings.

Having suffered a 4-2 FA Cup beating by Boston Town last Saturday, Holbeach avenged that loss by defeating the Poachers 2-1 at Tattershall Road on Tuesday night.

Joint Holbeach chief John Chand said: “Obviously our ex-Oadby lads will see it as a bit of derby for them. After a tough start I think Oadby have picked up a bit recently, so we’ll have to be at our best.

“We’re looking forward to going there. We’ve put going out of the FA Cup out of our minds and want three more points.

“It was important we got the win on Tuesday (at Boston Town) at what is going to be a very hard place for UCL teams to go.”

Holbeach hope to have Stacy Cartwright available for that game after both Chand and Drury confirmed a deal to sign him from Wisbech Town on Tuesday night.

After an initial dispute from the Fenmen, they received the signed transfer forms on Thursday, with the Tigers officially confirming the deal on Friday morning.

Cartwright, who played for the Tigers under Shaun Keeble, can play at left back or in central defence.

Another Holbeach transfer target, Deeping Rangers’ Craig Parker, looks to be in limbo after a disagreement between the two clubs.

The Tigers believe they have the left back’s signature on a form, but Deeping feel that the deal was sealed outside of their allotted window to sign him.
