DERBY DEFEAT: Glen Maddison’s men are up against it in their bid for a top ten spot.

Holbeach United’s hopes of a top ten finish in the UCL Premier Division took a hit on Saturday as they were handed a 4-0 derby defeat at Lincolnshire neighbours Deeping Rangers.

Alex Beck (13) fired hosts Deeping into an early lead at Outgang Road, with Jamie Graham doubling their advantage on 23 minutes.

Goal machine Ryan Oliver put the game beyond the Tigers with a 53rd minute third for Tuncay Korkmaz’s high-flying side, leaving Scott Ginty to complete the scoring nine minutes from time.

Glen Maddison’s Holbeach must now defeat rivals Wisbech Town on Easter Monday (3pm) to secure a place in the top ten, with any dropped points likely to see them fall below either Kempston Rovers or Desborough Town.
