Gosberton star Abbi bags two top six finishes at Snetterton

Abbi Pulling was in a philosophical mood after picking up finishes of fifth, sixth and ninth at Snetterton over the weekend.

The Gosberton racer impressed once again at the second round of the F4 British Championship season, but was once more left feeling she could have bagged more points.

After qualifying eighth in her JHR Developments car, she managed a solid sixth, 12 seconds behind winner Matthew Rees.

Race two was her weakest outing, but she still claimed ninth position with Georgi Dimitrov taking the win.
Things improved in the finale, with Pulling coming from sixth on the grid to claim her best position of the weekend in fifth.

Pulling said: “Qualifying set the scene for a weekend of very close racing and battles in every race.

“Race one was a good race, gaining places and fighting for P4 on the last lap, discretion won on this occasion for a sixth place finish.

“The reverse grid race was a very fraught affair at times, I gained places to P9 at the chequer, probably not the deserved reward but really strong pace.

“The televised Sunday race was a battle once more, this time attacking and defending at the same time, P5 at the end was a good end to the meeting.

“It was great to see fans on the banks again. Looking ahead to Brands Hatch now.”

Pulling’s weekend performance leaves her tenth in the overall driver standings ahead of the next round at Brands Hatch on the weekend of June 26 and 27.
