Gosberton and Quadring Good Neighbour Scheme’s boost

A group set up to help those in need in Gosberton and Quadring is set to launch at the end of the month after a donation from the Co-op.

Gosberton and Quadring Good Neighbour Scheme, which after months of preparation is set to serve the area and has been given £500 from the fundraising total.

Through Lincolnshire Co-op’s Community Champions scheme, a donation was made each time a member shopped in one of the society’s outlets from December until March.

The £500 is among a total of £153,789 raised for charities across Lincolnshire.

Jane Brigginshaw, the Good Neighbour Scheme’s chair and volunteer co-ordinator said:

“It’s fantastic to see local people supporting us with some more funds to change people’s lives and strengthen the community, and help people to take ownership of their community.

“This money is also a great boost for our volunteers, who’ve worked so hard to make this scheme happen.”
